I’m hoping for a positive outcome for owners. And I wish the ACCC all the best with that. Leaving the legal dimension of this issue to one side, I’ll simply presume ACCC investigators have done a good job compiling a strong case based upon compelling evidence, which will proceed on the basis of them believing the evidence, on the balance of probability, may be successfully prosecuted. Legally I will not speculate on the probable outcome. I don’t know if Ford’s high-priced arsehole lawyers will be able to bullshit their way out of it in court. This time, we discussed the earliest metal songs going back to Blue Cheer’s deafening cover of “Summertime Blues” through recent instant classics like Power Trip’s “Executioner’s Tax (Swing of the Axe).” And while keeping our minds open to the basic definition of metal (weighty riffs turned up to 11), we debated the fine lines between hard rock and metal: Motörhead and AC/DC, hard-rock bands who recorded awe-inspiring statements of fury that cross over into metal, are here, while Guns N’ Roses and Kiss, whose music bears more of an overall hard-rock swagger, are not. Many list voters contributed to RS’ Greatest Metal Albums list a few years back. These people include writers and critics who have been writing for Rolling Stone for decades and contributors to metal-focused publications. The group of headbangers that Rolling Stone gathered to rank the 100 Greatest Heavy Metal Songs of All Time debated the merits of more than 300 worthy songs over several months. Metal has always been about overcoming fear and finding community among like-minded outcasts. A song like Metallica’s “Fade to Black,” for instance, actually helps you escape your personal darkness rather than encouraging it. Where less cultured ears hear only noise and rage, metalheads recognize nuance. Amid the deafening drums and growling vocals, the ideal metal tune relates power, resilience, and even hope. What millions of fans around the world have realized is that a good metal song transports you. Over time, heavy metal has topped the pop charts, served as the basis of hit movies, saved the day in TV shows, and even signaled prosperity around the world. Years removed from its initial rumbles, metal is now a cultural force. To be a metalhead, you’re rejecting normalcy, you’re willing to believe in yourself and visit your dark side because you know the eardrum-slaughtering decibels and aggressive lyrics are the crucible in which you feel something new and unique. In those five-plus decades, fans of metal have embraced the genre’s songs as intense declarations of individuality. At the same time, its true believers have created extreme global offshoots like death metal, doom metal, and black metal. Judas Priest tuned into Sabbath’s darkly jagged melodies to create their own intricate, law-breaking mini-epics, Metallica revved up Priest’s tempos to give headbangers cases of whiplash, hair bands like Mötley Crüe and Quiet Riot spruced up the music for MTV, and nu-metal mutants like Korn and Slipknot gave it a bleak post-alt-rock and hip-hop edge. In 1970, Black Sabbath convincingly evoked the true essence of evil with the lumbering, three-chord opening guitar riff to the song “Black Sabbath,” consecrating the first pure heavy-metal crusher, and the ripples have been spreading virulently ever since. Thousands of years after the Bronze and Iron Ages, the true Metal Age dawned half a century ago. ![]() You are going to want to make one of these STAT! Therefore, every time I make the change I have to search for the information which is usually spread across posts and locations and there may only be one phase, but I don't seem to remember that either. ![]() However, I don't switch the color of fire spells often enough to remember which expansion and/or phase Jubeka and Kanrethad are available. And they did that while being under massive protest from OG Meta-Demolocks, so 'we don't want to be pruned/reworked' is pointless - because if our voices do matter, warlocks won't be in such a whacked out state as it is now.Comment by ricerdI like to change my fire color to match my current transmogged gear. Demon Hunters was born from the wreckage of Demonology warlocks is a good example. If anything, they have proven the lengths that they are willing to go to make a class happen. Treading on other classes, or taking stuff away from other specs isn't something new to this game. So i won't be surprised if Necromancer is released as an expansion-featured class, like Demon Hunters did for Legion. Pandaren was eventually playable due to popular demand, and Demon Hunter, being one of the hottest requested playable class after BC, was also finally playable a few expansions after. If you want to roleplay AND having a gameplay to give you that necromancer feel, just hope/pray for an actual necromancer class instead.Īnd i am almost certain that Necromancer, one of the highest player request, will eventually be a playable class down the road. Certain talents can even make you almost fully ranged like Clawing Shadows. If you only concern about 'role playing', the more reasonable option that can be done currently in game, if you want to be a Necromancer that much, is just use cloth armor as a Unholy DK. You are choosing to ignore the lore behind the classes, which is a hot button for many players. You can't just 'give the pet some undead skins' and just call it Necromancer. From the lore to background, they are miles apart. But like i said, even when they share similarities, they are different in their core. I can understand how Affliction can be used as 'step in' for Necromancers, or roleplaying one. See, that's another common mistake: Not all Necromancers are warlocks equally, because dealing with Fel magic and Demons is a warlock-specific trait that is not shared with necromancers. In this manner we're not changing who or what a Warlock is, merely providing extra options for customization that could be used to enhance role-playing possibilities. Understand that as someone who is predominately a role-player, I love the idea of a ranged Necromancer style character, which currently just isn't possible. Using Affliction as a base-line specialization and adding in the appropriate undead Glyphs would simply be an easier solution than creating an entirely new class. Many classes have already taken abilities from the Warlock itself, you wouldn't want to be pruned even more would you? While I appreciate the idea of a fully fleshed out Necromancer concept as a whole class to itself, such a design would likely tread on the toes of both the Unholy Death Knight and the Warlock. Not all Warlocks are Necromancers though, which is what leads many to confuse the two. True, the Necromancer and the Warlock are two distinct classes, however all Necromancer's are technically Warlocks. A pair of Glyphs that applied to the Seed of Corruption spell the same would be awesome.Īdditionally, it'd be really awesome if we could get a black/blood-red variant of the Chaos Bolt spell for purist Warlocks who want to go full-tang Fire and Blood magic. I think glyphs like the above would really 'finish' the spell's effects off, since we have 3 variants of the Wrathsteed at the moment. ![]() Glyph of Shadow Corruption: Your Corruption now weaves a little void magic into it. ![]() Glyph of Burning Corruption: Your Corruption now weaves a little fire magic into it. ![]() With that in mind, could we maybe get a pair of Glyphs that change the color scheme of Corruption's 'fel flakes'? Would it be possible to get 3 variants of the Warlock Corruption Glyph? Right now we have a shadow and fel mixture on the spell which looks great, but at the same time the green is very out of place for Void Elf Warlocks, and Orc Warlocks. For some reason I can't post on my Warlock atm, so here goes. ![]() It blends together both topical and textual material with emphasis upon daily. ![]() It partners the Bible class program with the parents in teaching their children.
